Meaningful change starts with a story well told.

I’m Abigail, and I’m here to help you tell that story. My career began over 20 years ago with a passion for language and sustainability, two worlds that often intersect in today’s global marketplace. Over the years, I’ve worked as a journalist, a writer, an editor, a translator, and a researcher. Wearing all of these hats has brought me to where I am today: working with clients across industries and continents, helping them navigate the complexities of sustainability reporting and ensuring their messages are understood across different cultures.

Why work with me?

  • Experience:
Over three years working as an in-house journalist and translator.

Almost two dozen years working as a full-time writer and translator specializing in environmental issues.

  • Expertise:

Over two dozen reports written or translated (most are covered by NDAs, but I can provide samples on request), many of them containing voluntary disclosures for GRI, TCFD, SASB, UNGC, and the SDGs.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory developments in the US and EU, including CSRD requirements such as double materiality assessments.

Specialties: the circular economy, recycling and waste management, water and wastewater treatment, biodiversity conservation, and international development.

  • Credentials:

GRI Certified Sustainability Professional (since 2020)

Circular Economy Institute Certification in Principles & Business Models in a Circular Economy

MA (Hons) in Translation and Interpreting

A note from Abigail:
I was born and bred in northern England and graduated with a Master’s in Translation and Interpreting from Heriot-Watt University in 2001. After a stint as a journalist and translator in Germany’s Black Forest region, I moved across the pond in 2005 and have since made my home in the Midwest. On weekends, I can be found making ceramics (with varying success), running 5k races just for the t-shirt, or hiking forests with my family and our rescue dog, Lucky.

I am a proud member of these fine associations:
